horse riding lessons and horse camps for kids and teens at VHAT, vermont horse assisted therapy, therapy riding for kids with autism

Since 2008, Vermont Horse-Assisted Therapy, Inc. (VHAT) has provided safe, effective and fun therapeutic riding experiences to children and adults facing physical, neurological, cognitive, emotional, or economic challenges.

We offer lesson programs, group programs and teen programs of our own—including the only group program of its kind in Vermont for children on the autism spectrum. We also welcome community, corporate, health and educational organizations that wish to sponsor customized programs for their staff or clientele.

As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, VHAT is proud to act as a resource for the local Central Vermont community, matching donor funding with students in need. At VHAT, no student will be turned away because of financial need. Families that qualify may apply for a VHAT scholarship to help offset the cost of programs and lessons.
