A Message from our Board of Directors
Dear Friend and VHAT Supporter,
At the end of last year, we made an important decision to ensure the long-term sustainability of VHAT by streamlining our administrative functions. To eliminate redundancies, we are contracting the delivery of VHAT lessons, our Combined Equine Summer Studies Program for girls and our privately sponsored programs directly to Pease Farm Stable as of the 2017 season.
What does this mean for you? For our students, their families and the agencies that we serve, the change is completely transparent. VHAT Program Director Sarah Seidman will continue to direct, lead and oversee all lesson and program activities in conjunction with long-time instructors Susan Mitchell, Becca Reggio and newcomer Carlos Reyes.
For its part, VHAT will continue to operate as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, providing Board oversight for these programs while managing, funding and operating the two After-School Programs and our signature Scholarship Program.
Our goal in effecting this change was simple and proactive. By eliminating unnecessary administrative expenses, we can now devote more of our funding to delivering quality therapeutic riding programs at an affordable price.
We invite you to contact us if you have any questions about this change and wish you a wonderful riding season ahead!
